More global networking and more isolation \u2013 the simultaneous nature of these phenomena causes tension\u2026Walls and fences separate more than geographical places; they also exist within societies. People who have a religion, skin colour, origin or native language which differs from those of the majority will come up against such boundaries again and again in their everyday lives\u2026 Which is why it is so important for us all to find a positive way of living with diversity. Without tolerance, as originally defined \u2013 that is the courage to accept differences \u2013 our community will disintegrate as milieus drift apart, each experiencing the other as a threat\u2026 \u201cNostos\u201d is an invitation to discussion and will hopefully lead many listeners to realise that the others are always just like us. They are people.
